A specialist in health programme, Mr Faysol Oluwakemi says lack of quality health information has contributed to the high rate of health issues in the country.
Mr Oluwakemi made this known while featuring on Pensioners’ FM Current Affairs Programme, Voice of Liberation.

According to Mr Oluwakemi, many Nigerians have failed to prioritise accessing information that could help in improving their health status.
‘‘Been healthy is something we need to take very seriously, and how can we take it very serious is to ensure that if we have anything that is strange in our health, body you’re feeling a strange headache, and all. one need to take it seriously by going to the right quarter for treatment’’

Mr Oluwakemi also advocated against self-medication, saying the act could be detrimental to one’s well-being.
He further called on media organisations to keep prioritising health programmes and, on the government, to help champion the campaign on healthy living for a disease-free society.
He added that people can learn more about their health at his forthcoming Annual Health Lecture slated for the 2nd of October, tagged “Cancer: Kill it before it kills you.”
