Members of Conference of Retired Heads of Local Government Council, CRHLGA, Oyo State, have agreed to pay 2 per cent of their check off dues to the coffers of Nigeria Union of Pensioners, Oyo state council.

Chairman of the Union, Alhaji Gbolagade Agboluaje made this known at its annual thanksgiving held at Pensioners House, Agbarigo, Onireke, Ibadan.
Alhaji Agboluaje said the payment of the 2 per cent to the treasury of Oyo NUP was unanimously agreed by all members.
He said some members had earlier protested against deducting more than one percent as check off dues from their monthly pensions.
Alhaji Agboluaje therefore appealed to members to comply with the decision of the executive on the payment of the two percent of thier check off dues.
The Secretary of the Council, Mr Nathaniel Ajiteru said the Secretary of Oyo NUP, Comrade Olusegun Abatan had briefed them that the check off dues would be spent to execute some projects for the welfare of retirees in the state.
Mr Ajiteru, therefore called for calm among members.
Earlier, Secretary, Nigeria Union of Pensioners, Oyo state council, Comrade Olusegun Abatan had solicited support from the retired heads of local government administration to the various programmes of the union to better the lives of Pensioners.

According to Comrade Abatan, the call for payment of check off dues of two percent would ensure smooth running of the union at local government levels.

Present at the meeting were Chairman, Retired Local Government Workers, under the aegis of Oyo NUP, Reverend James Ayanlowo and Retired head of local government administration, Alhaji Abdulwaheed Raji.
