Delayed Immunisation Violates Child Rights – NIPDs Executive Secretary‎

The Oyo State Primary Health Care Board has officially flagged off the second round of the 2025 National Immunisation Plus Days, NIPDs campaign.
The flag-off ceremony took place at Molete Primary Health Care Centre, located in Ibadan South-West Local Government Area.
During his official address, the Executive Secretary of NIPDs Campaign, Dr. Mudeen Olatunji, emphasised that immunisation is a fundamental right of every child.

Represented by the Director of Health Planning and Statistics, Oyo State Primary Health Care Board, Dr. Sunday Adewale, Dr. Olatunji stated that any parent who delays immunisation is risking a child’s life.
Dr. Olatunji stressed that vaccines are safe and urged residents of the local government area to continue advocating for widespread use.
In an earlier remark, the Medical Officer of Health for Ibadan South-West, Dr. Sunday Mustapha, expressed appreciation to the community for their ongoing support in ensuring that every child receives the vaccine.
Dr. Mustapha also appealed to residents to ensure that no child is left behind in the ongoing immunisation effort aimed at preventing childhood paralysis.

Also present at the event were key stakeholders, including the representative of the State Coordinator of the World Health Organisation (WHO), Oyo State, Dr. Ajayi Paul, the Oyo State Coordinator of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), Alasan Babatunde and Health Manager and Polio Team Lead at UNICEF Nigeria Country Office, Dr. Asnaken Tsega.
