The various ongoing dualisation of major roads across Osun State will fast track socio – economic development, ensure employment and draw investors to the state.
The Caretaker Chairman,Ede North Local Government, Honourable Taiwo Amodu gave the assurance while playing host to the Osun Stare commissioner for Regional and Special Duty, Dr.Bashir Salami and the permanent Secretary Ministry of Work, Mallam Bashir Bello on inspection of ongoing demolition of houses and shops to pave way for the dualisation of Akoda – Oke Gada Main Road in the ancient town.
Honourable Amodu who stated that one of the impetus for economic development and employment creation is a good and durable road, commending the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke for putting strategies in place to bring all-round development to the state.
“Governor Adeleke has been demostrating quality and proactive leadership to make the state investors destination.” Honourable Amodu emphasised.
On his part, the Commissioner for Special Duties and Regional Integrations,Dr. Bashir Salami, who also thanked the State government for the laudable projects, commended the people of Ede town for their total support and cooperation with the road contractors to ensure speedy completion of the project.
