Oyo State Special Marshalls Tell Nigerian Motorists to Acquire Highway Code

The State Coordinator, Special Marshals, RS 11.3, Oyo State Sector Command, Federal Road Safety Corps, Pastor John Adegbotoluwa, has re-emphasised on the importance of Nigeria Highway Code, which he described as road user handbook.

 Pastor Adegbotoluwa said this while featuring on “Awaye”, a Pensioners’ FM Road Safety weekly programme, sponsored by Oyo State FRSC, Special Marshals,RS 11.3.

 According to Pastor Adegbotoluwa, the  Highway Code serves as a guideline for road users for safety and proper conduct.

 Pastor Adegbotoluwa admonished road users in Oyo State, who are yet to get the Highway Code to visit the FRSC office at Eleyele in Ibadan.

He also used the opportunity to appeal to commercial drivers to always abide by the traffic light rules.

On the recent forecast by the Nigeria Meteorological Agency, NIMET, on the likelihood of dust haze in parts of the country, number 1 Special Marshal in Oyo State enjoined motorists to put their vehicles in good shape especially headlamps, wipers, and windscreen for effective visibility.

Pastor Adegbotoluwa also advised automobile drivers to desist from overspending, adding that speed is sweet but it kills.
