Nigeria Union of Pensioners, NUP, Oyo State Council, has felicitated muslim faithful on today’s Eid el fitri, urging them to remember the purpose of the celebration.
Chairman of the union, Chief Isiaka Abolade and the union’s Secretary, Comrade Olusegun Abatan, made this known in a statement.
According to Chief Abolade and Comrade Abatan, the period was reminding them of the teaching of Ramadan and the good deeds to seek forgiveness of sins.
The union also urged Muslims and pensioners to pray for the country, especially during this period of economic hardship.
