Media practitioners have been urged to embrace self development for consistent growth in the profession.
This was the submission of General Manager, Pensioners FM, Dr Babatunde Tiamiyu while featuring on a monitored radio programme in Ibadan.
According to Dr Tiamiyu, self development will enhance professionalism in media practice.
Dr Tiamiyu said the internet can be leveraged on for self development, saying there are several trainings and courses readily available for media practitioners online.
He also called on journalists and media organisations not to neglect their role of informing, educating and entertaining the public.
