The Ibadan Country Club has been urged to welcome youths into the club for sustainability.
The Chairman on the occasion, Professor Kabiru Adeyemo, who is the Vice Chancellor of Lead City University, Ibadan gave the advice while delivering a speech at the 30th anniversary of the Club, held at International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan.

Professor Adeyemo said incorporating youths would sustain the legacies of the older people when they are gone, particularly in promoting the cultural heritage of Ibadanland and Oyo state at large.
In his welcome address, the President of Ibadan Country Club, Dr Olaoluwa Adegoke, who is also the Chief Executive Officer of Olaade Innovative Concept, OIC Solar, appreciated members for their cooperation and revealed the club’s plan to empowered youths through capacity building.

Earlier, President General, Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes, CCII, Barrister Ajeniyi Ajewole who congratulated the club on its 30th anniversary, urged it not to relent in its contributions to the development of Ibadanland.

Some members of the club including Assistant Secretary, Nigeria Union of Pensioners, Oyo State Council, Comrade Banji Koleoso said unity fostered the club’s progress.

Dignitaries present at the event were the President of the Nigerian Red Cross Society, Oluyemisi Adeaga and Mr Kunle Olatunji, Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, to Senator representing Oyo Central.
Highlights of the event were donations, live band performance and award presentation to dignitaries including Secretary, Nigeria Union of Pensioners, Oyo State Council, Comrade Olusegun Abatan.
