A veteran broadcaster, Mr Felix Omuni says the law of “no licence no practice” should be enforced before establishment of any broadcast station.
Mr Omuni said this while featuring on Pensioners FM Current Affairs Programme, “The Searchlight.”
According to Mr Omuni, this will check the high proliferation of broadcast stations across the country.
The veteran broadcaster, also called on Broadcasting Organisations of Nigeria, BON to take up the mantle to enforce the law of “no licence no practice” as part of its duties to monitor the activities, coordination and management of televisions, radio and all media broadcasts in Nigeria.
Mr Omuni, further urged BON to take disciplinary actions on any broadcast station that goes contrary to the codes and ethics that guides media practice.
