A retired Chief Technical Officer at the Ministry of Industry Applied Science and Technology, Secretariat, Ibadan the Oyo State Capital, Mr Razak Bello has urged the government to revive Agro-allied industries in the country.
Mr Bello said this while featuring on Pensioners FM Programme, “The Grey Hair”, which profiles the past lives of the elderly.
According to Mr Bello, bringing back these Agro-allied industries would boost economic growth, reduce inflation and increase employment opportunities.
Mr Bello, however said, for this to be achievable, corruption must be tackled head on.
According to the National Bureau of Statistics, NBS classification, the agro-allied industry comprises four main categories, which include food, beverage, textile/footwear and wood products.
