Expert Says Biographies Can Amplify National Development

A professional biographer, Mr Kayode Adejumo-bello has urged Nigerians to embrace the art of writing biographies to inspire future generations for national development.

Mr Adejumo-bello made the call in an interview with Pensioners FM, while speaking on the significance of this year’s National Biographer’s Day.

According to Mr Adejumo-bello, it is unfortunate that Nigerians do not write biographies, saying they have the potential to inspire future leaders for national development.

Mr Adejumo-bello who is also a Public Affairs Analyst, noted that everyone who had lived has a history that could be documented irrespective of status.

He recalled that National Biographer’s Day commemorates the anniversary of the first meeting of an English writer, Samuel Johnson and his biographer James Boswell in London, England on 16th of May, 1763.
