Two affiliates of a Non-governmental Organisation, Education Champions Network, have urged government to prioritise gender inclusiveness in the education sector.

The affiliate representatives, Programmes Manager, Connected Development, Miss Heleidzira Mshelia and Head of Programmes, Education as a Vaccine, Miss Oluwatosin Alagbe, made this known while featuring on a special programme on Pensioners FM.

Miss Mshelia and Miss Alagbe said gender inclusiveness would factor-in the educational needs of both the female and male gender and prevent gender-based discrimination in classrooms.

They further urged the government to increase budgetary allocation to the education sector, to improve infrastructure in schools among other necessities that would improve education.

Miss Mshelia and Miss Alagbe, however, lauded Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde, for reducing out of school children.
