The Chairman of the Oyo State Local Government Staff Pension Board, Honourable Akeem Ige has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Christians as the world celebrates Easter season.
In a statement made available to newsmen by the Information Officer of the board, Mrs Banke Adeyemo, Honourable Ige in his Easter greetings, felicitates the Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde and all Christians in the state, most especially pensioners, members of staff of the Board and the good people of Oyo State, Honourable Ige thanked Almighty God for sparing the lives of all and sundry to witness this year 2025 Easter celebration.
As the world commemorates the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, Honourable Ige enjoined Christians to embrace unity, love, forgiveness and compassion in daily interactions and live a Christlike life.
He said Easter marks the resurrection of Jesus Christ three days after his death by crucifixion and sacrificed himself for the sins of humanity, therefore he admonished Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of selflessness and love for humanity.
He also advised Nigerians not to lose hope instead they should continue to pray for government at all levels in order to have a better country. The Chairman emphasized prayer for Governor Seyi Makinde led government as he strives to achieve the sustainable development agenda for the pacesetter state.
” As we celebrate year 2025 Easter season, remember the less privileged in our society. I wish you and your household a fulfilling Easter celebration” He said.
