The International School, University of Ibadan, ISI has been described as a citadel of knowledge for grooming great minds.
Former President of Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria, COREN, Engineer Ibikunle Ogunbayo said this at the 60th anniversary celebration of the school.
According to Engineer Ogunbayo, ISI in its capacity has a large impact on the society and has produced eminent personalities among them is Director General of the World Trade Organization, Mrs Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala.
Engineer Ogunbayo, who was one of the pioneer students in 1963, advised the students to be steadfast in their study and work on opportunities the school has offered them.
On his part, Principal of ISI, Mr Yinka Akintunde said discipline was the key used in grooming its students for academic excellence balance.
Mr Akintunde equally lauded the school alumni for their efforts towards the development of the school.
On their part, Head Boy of the school, Master Moyinoluwalogo Akere, Head Girl, Miss Maryjoy Echefu, some old students and teachers of the school, while expressing gratitude to God for the giant strides of the school in 60 years, advised the students to always be good ambassador of the school.
Three Senior Advocates of Nigeria, SANs, who are also old students of ISI, Mr Babatunde Aiku, Mr Dipo Olasope, Dr Tunde Ajibade and Engineer Babasola Okege, were among dignitaries present at the event which featured lectures and music rendition.
