An Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ismail Showumi, has called on Muslim faithful and members of the public to embrace self-purification and character reformation as vital steps toward personal growth and societal development.
Sheikh Showumi made the call while delivering a lecture on the theme, “Re-engineering the Journey of Self-Purification and Character Reformation,” at the grand finale and award ceremony marking the 30th anniversary of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria, ADS, Eleyele Branch, Ibadan, Oyo State.
According to the cleric, moral uprightness and spiritual renewal are essential to building peaceful homes, raising responsible youths, and fostering a progressive society.
Sheikh Showumi also urged members of the society to remain steadfast in promoting Islamic teachings, unity, and community service.

In their separate remarks, the Chairman of ADS, Eleyele Branch, Alhaji Olatinwo Ismail, and the Chairman on the occasion, Alhaji Akeem Ajayi, appreciated Allah for His protection and guidance over the past thirty years.
Alhaji Ismail and Alhaji Ajayi further appealed for the continued support and commitment of members, assuring them that their efforts and sacrifices would be rewarded by Almighty Allah.


Among the awardees, an All Progress Congress Chieftain, Barr Akeem Agbaje representated by a former secretary, Ibadan southwest local government, Hon Ademola lawal, appreciated the association for deeming it fit to award him and promised continuous support for the society.

Others awardees include a Professor of forestry and Agricultural Research, Prof Rasheed Awodoyin, a Trader , Alhaja Lateefat Mosadoluwa, a Publisher, Omoba Abdulwahab Olaniyi and an entrepreneur Alhaji lawal Kolade.
