To raise righteous children, Muslim parents have been told to prioritise education and effective communication in their homes.
An Islamic Scholar and Preacher, Sheik Muyideen Bello, gave this admonition while delivering the 4th phase of the 44th Ramadan lecture organised by the Ansar-UD-Deen Society of Nigeria, ADS, Ibadan Zone at ADS Islamic centre, Liberty Road, Oke Ado, Ibadan.
Speaking on the Topic: “Child Upbringing in Islam”, Sheik Bello emphasised on the need for parents, especially mothers to ensure solid home training, Islamic teaching and Quranic education as well as western education for their children and wards.

The Fierce Islamic Preacher who emphasised that most of the vices bedeviling the society stemmed from improper upbringing, enjoined parents not to let the search for survival hinder them from performing their expected roles and responsibilities at home.
Earlier in a welcome address, Chairman, ADS, Ibadan Zone, Alhaji Gbolagade Aminu explained that the choice of the topic was based on the need for parents to be more alive to their duties on child upbringing for a better society.
Highlights of the event include Quran recitation, lecture and special prayers for the society, leaders, Oyo State and Nigeria.
