The former General Manager of Oyo State Water Corporation, Mr Olusoji Oguntola says lack of political will by the Oyo state government has contributed to inadequate provision of potable water in the state.
Mr Oguntola made this known in an interview after featuring on ‘Isejoba rere’ a development agenda weekly programme of JDPC, Ibadan with the support of Meserior on Pensioners’ FM.
According to him, civil servants in the Water Corporation need the approval and support of the government to provide potable water, saying the government does not attach importance to the provision of good and accessible water.
Mr Oguntola, who is also a retired Permanent Secretary in Oyo state civil service, noted that water is the right of all Nigerians, therefore, appealing to the state government under the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde to make it available.
