Governor Seyi Makinde has charged the people of Oyo State to continually hold his government accountable as his administration intensifies efforts to serve them better this year and beyond.
Governor Makinde said this when addressing public and civil servants in the state during an interfaith service to usher in the New Year.
Governor Makinde, who acknowledged that the success of his administration was as a result of collective efforts, appealed for more cooperation from all stakeholders.

While promising to ensure that 2024 is a year of great turnaround, he pledged to build necessary infrastructures to make life meaningful for the people.
The Governor added that despite challenges facing the nation, he was ready to negotiate a new minimum wage for the state workforce.
Earlier in her welcome address, the State Head of Service, Mrs Olubunmi Oni, applauded Governor Makinde for his worker friendly policies and charged workers to remain diligent and committed to their responsibilities.
Dignitaries present at the event include, Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Honourable Adebo Ogundoyin, PDP Deputy National Chairman South, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja, Former state Deputy Governor, Hamid Gbadamosi, members of state advisory, State Labour Leaders, Comrade Kayode Martins and Comrade Bosun Olabiyi and Elders Council.
