An unidentified middle-aged man has broken an ancient pot from a shrine (Ojubo) in Lagelu Adeosun village, Awotan, Ibadan, in Ido Local Government area of Oyo state, while trying to steal it.
According to an eye witness in an interview with Pensioners FM, Mrs. Omoshalewa Abolade, on apprehension and when asked to return the pot to the shrine, the unidentified man dropped the pot and ran off.
The Zone 6 Public Relations Officer of Adeosun/Idi Orogbo Community Association, Mr. Lusa Oluwaseyi also confirmed the theft.
According to Mr Oluwaseyi, the broken pot is significant to the community and could spell repercussions.
