Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Ibadan Branch is set to mark its 70th anniversary with a week-long series of activities from this Friday to next week’s Wednesday.
Chairman of the 70th Anniversary Planning Committee, Asiwaju Adebayo Ojo, SAN said this while featuring on Trending, a Pensioners’ FM current affairs programme.
According to Asiwaju Ojo, the celebrations will commence on Friday with a Jum’ah Service at Ansarudeen Central Mosque, Liberty Road, Ibadan, Aare while the Afe Babalola Bar Competition will take place at the Olubadan Stadium, Iyaganku this Saturday.
He noted that an interdenominational church service will come up on Sunday at St. Anne’s Church, Molete, while former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, GCON, will preside over the official opening ceremony scheduled for Monday.
Asiwaju Ojo who was a former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Oyo State, further revealed that the special guest of honour for the event is Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State.
