NBC Tasks Broadcast Outfits on Professionalism

The Zonal Director, Ibadan Zone of the National Broadcasting Commission, NBC, Mr Sunday Omoge, has called on broadcast outfits to always comply with rules and regulations governing the profession to avoid being sanctioned.

Mr Omoge who made this known during a courtesy visit on Pensioners FM, Ibadan, said raising the bar of professionalism was imperative to ensure that the task of journalism was perfectly achieved.

‘Mr Omoge also lauded the executives of Nigeria Union of Pensioners, NUP, Oyo State Council for the establishment of the first labour radio in Africa, describing it as an indelible achievement in the world’.

Earlier in his remark, the General Manager of Pensioners FM, Dr Babatunde Tiamiyu, appreciated Mr Omoge and his team for the visit to the radio station.

Dr Tiamiyu also promised that Pensioners FM would continue to obey the code and conduct of NBC.

‘Dr Tiamiyu also sought the support of NBC in making the station better’.

Others present during the visit include Chief Monitoring Officer of NBC, Mrs Sherifat Koro and management team of Pensioners FM.
