The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC Oyo State council, has promised to picket all the offices of Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company, IBEDC across the state on Monday, if the company does not meet its demands.
Secretary, Oyo NLC, Comrade Adebayo Aribatise made this known in a statement made available to newsmen.
According to the statement, the seven-day ultimatum given to IBEDC and its outsourcing firm by the federal government through the Ministry of Labour and Employment to reinstate the unlawful sacked of IBEDC workers has ended with no action taken.
The statement noted that the union is aware of a crucial meeting between IBEDC and its outsourcing firm today, and any deviation from the agreement reached between the federal government, Oyo NLC, IBEDC and its outsourcing firm will be met with an immediate response.
The union however urged IBEDC and its outsourcing firm to honour the agreement to prevent any industrial action that may disrupt operations.
