NSCDC Advocates Peaceful Coexistence Ahead of International Peace Day

Assistant Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Oyo State Command, Kabiru Toriola has called for peaceful coexistence among Nigerians to foster peace in the country.

ACC Toriola made this known while featuring on Pensioners FM current affairs programme, Trending, against the backdrop of this year’s International Peace Day slated for 21ST of this month.

Speaking on this year’s theme, “Actions for Peace: Our Ambition for the Global Goals”, ACC Toriola who is also the Head of Peace and Conflict Resolution Unit in the state command, highlighted tribalism, ethnicity and religious conflicts as factors that have contributed to the disruption of peace in the country.

ACC Toriola, urged Nigerians to work on living together irrespective of tribe, religion and ethnicity in order to enhance peace in the society.

On their part, the deputy Superintendent of the state NSCDC, DSC Folarin Oladipupo and the Public Relations Officer, Oyindamola Okuneye also buttress that peaceful co-existence would enhance harmony and zero conflict.

DSC Oladipupo and Okuneye equally called on Nigerians to champion peaceful coexistence for a better united world.
