Nigeria Union of Pensioners, NUP, Oyo State Council, has called for the re-negotiation of federal government’s 35 per cent pay rise for civil servants and between 20 percent and 28 percent for pensioners.
Assistant Secretary of Oyo NUP, Comrade Banji Koleosho said this while featuring on Pensioners FM Yoruba programme, “Isimidun.”
According Comrade Koleosho, the increment cannot meet up with the present economic realities of workers and pensioners.
Speaking further, Comrade Koleosho who noted that the union’s world standard hospital will soon be operational for all, said medical bills will be subsidised for pensioners coupled with other benefits.
The assistant secretary also used the opportunity to reiterates the union’s commitment to the welfare of members.
