A Broadcaster, Mr. Faysol Oluwakemi, has described the grassroots as the foundation of national development, stressing the need for government at all levels to prioritize the needs of people at the community level.
Mr. Oluwakemi who is also a Health Educator made the remarks while featuring on Pensioners FM Yoruba Stewardship Programme, “Abo Ree.”
Speaking during the programme, the broadcaster, who is also aspiring to represent Ibadan South-West Constituency 1 in the Oyo State House of Assembly on the platform of the All Progressives Congress ,APC, said a nation’s stability and progress depend largely on how well its grassroots are organised and empowered.
Mr Oluwakemi noted that neglect of the grassroots would continue to hinder meaningful development, adding that effective organisation and inclusion at the community level are essential for national growth.
The Radio Health Advocator further explained that his aspiration to contest for the House of Assembly Seat is driven by a desire to positively impact the grassroots, particularly in critical areas such as healthcare, education, livelihood support and the provision of other basic facilities through presentation of welfare related bills and robust contributions on the floor of the house.
He further stated that his passion to tell the story of his constituency and address the challenges facing its residents inspired his decision to seek elective office, with a view to promoting inclusive development and proved living standards for the people.
