In line with its quest to provide quality and affordable healthcare delivery for all, Osun state government says it has extended its health insurance scheme to Pensioners, older persons, People living with disabilities and School children.
The State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, made this known at the official opening of a new ultra-modern health facility, “Ede Central Hospital” ECH at Agip area, Ede.

Governor Adeleke, represented by the State Commissioner for Health, Barrister Jola Akintola, reiterated his commitment to providing quality and affordable healthcare service delivery to the people of the state, noting only people with sound health can partake in the development of their communities
While congratulating the Chief Medical Director and Proprietor of the ECH Dr.Adeolu Adisa, Governor Adeleke promised to always collaborate with the private sector towards boosting healthcare service delivery to the people at subsidised rates.
Father of the day, who is also a retired Deputy Inspector General of police, DIG Adedayo Adeoye, while commending Dr.Adisa’s Initiative, said the CMD of ECH was one of the beneficiaries of a scholarship scheme and Education Bursary his family started sixteen years ago for brilliant and indigent students in Ede and environs.

The Timi of Ede,who is the Royal Father of the Day, Oba Munirudeen Lawal, expressed happiness and delight, that the ancient town of Ede has been witnessing positive turnaround since his ascension to the throne of his forefathers.
Earlier, the Chief Medical Director and Proprietor of Ede Central Hospital, Dr.Adeolu Adisa, emphasised on the health facility’s resolve to delivering world class health care services to the people.
Highlights of the event included cutting of the Medical Director’s and one of his son’s birthday cake, Cultural display from Aafin Ilu Group led by Prince Adewale Large and Esa rendition by Prince Adeolu Tunwagun, popularly known as Akewi of Pensioners’ FM, Ibadan.
Dignitaries at the event were Chairman, Osun State Primary Healthcare Board, Alhaji Tajudeen Adisa, Local government council Chairmen of Ede North and South,Hon. Taiwo Amodu and Hon. Lukman Afolabi, Medical professionals, political office holders, religious leaders, families and friends of the celebrant.
