Osun Govt. Unveils Ambitious Health Sector Overhaul Plan

The Osun State Government is set to reposition its health sector to enhance service delivery.

The Special Adviser on Public Health to Governor Ademola Adeleke, Dr. Akindele Adekunle, disclosed this during an interview with Pensioners FM correspondent in Osogbo, the state capital.

Dr. Adekunle revealed that the renovation of state hospitals will commence next month, with one hospital in each federal constituency scheduled for upgrades.

Dr. Adekunle further assured residents that nine state hospitals would be renovated before the end of the year.

He noted that the initiative, which is captured in the proposed 2025 state budget, will significantly improve access to quality healthcare services for the people of Osun.

Dr. Adekunle also reiterated Governor Adeleke’s commitment to creating a conducive working environment for health workers, emphasizing the government’s dedication to improve healthcare infrastructure and service delivery across the state.
