The Caretaker Chairman, Ede North Local Government Area, Hon. Taiwo Amodu has appeals to market men and women in his domain always put people first in their trading activities.
A statement from the Caretaker Chairman’s Media Unit made available to newsmen indicated that Hon. Amodu who made the appeal while playing host to members of the Association of Market men and women in the Council Area, enjoined them to take things easy for the public before, during and after the Yuletide festivities by charging moderate prices on their goods.
Addressing his visitors at the Oja Timi, Ede seat of the Local Government, Hon. Taiwo Amodu appreciated the executives and members of the Association for their support to his administration and that of his predecessor towards ensuring peace, development and stability in the Council Area.
The Caretaker Chairman however promised that all stakeholders in the Council would be carried along to achieve the state governor’s five-point agenda for development.
Earlier, the Babaloja of Ede, who led the delegation of the association comprising thirty- seven different lines of traders, said the purpose of visit was to seek due recognition of the association, even as they also appealed to council helmsman and his cabinet to patronize their products as well as including their members in empowerment programmes.
The Babaloja also commended Governor Ademola Adeleke’s giant strides in last one year to reposition the socio-economic narrative of the state.
Also in a remark, the Council’s supervisor for work and woman affairs, Hon. Muibat Oyewale thanked the market association for their total support for Governor Adeleke led administration while assuring them that the recent empowerment by Yeyeluwa of Ede Land, Chief Mrs Modupeola Adeleke – Sanni is just a tip of iceberg.
Special prayers were offered by selected members of the team for the governor, the state government and Ede land.
In a related development, the Caretaker Chairman, Ede North Local Government Area of Osun State, Hon. Taiwo Amodu has charged members of the Osun Association of Local Government Vice Chairmen to work closely with their helmsmen in peace and harmony to promote good governance at the grassroot.

He gave the charge, when members of the association paid him and vice Hon. Habeeb Oyekanmi a courtesy visit at the Council’s Headquarters, Oja Timi, Ede.
