The Osun State Commissioner for Youth Affairs Honourable Moshood Olagunju, has played host to the Chairman of Chairmen of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Comrade Abdulsalam Abdulquadri Olusegun and other State Chairmen of the Youth Council across the Southwest region of Nigeria to discuss critical issues concerning youths development and empowerment.
According to report, the Stakeholders’ Meeting was convened to resolve a lingering crisis within the youth constituency of Osun State.
The meeting also had a rebuttal to an allegation on the Commissioner for Youth Affairs being instrumental to the prolonged crisis.
Addressing the stakeholders at the meeting, Olagunju, through a Press Conference, stated that the crisis predated his appointment, which he has been doing everything possible to resolve amicably. “As the Father of the youth, I am deeply committed to the welfare and wellbeing of all youth in the State, and I have always strived to.’
Earlier the NYCN’s Chairman of Chairmen,Comrade Abdulquadri Abdulsalam had thanked the Commissioner for his efforts towards youths’ development and emancipation by the state Odún State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke.
Comrade Abdulsalam however advocated more youth friendly policy by the government especially on quality education, wealth creation and leader mentoring.
