The Oyo State House of Assembly has commenced the budget defense of various Ministries, Departments and Agencies, MDAs of the state government.
Speaking during the exercise, the Chairman, Standing Committee on Finance, Appropriation and State Economy Planning, Honourable Sunkanmi Babalola, reiterated that the Assembly was determined to work with the Executive Arm of Government for the successful implementation of the 2024 budget.
Honourable Babalola stated that members of the Committee have scrutinised over thirty Ministries, Departments and Agencies.
He commended Governor Seyi Makinde for his vision towards initiating an achievable and realistic budgeting system.
Governor Makinde had on 5th of this month presented a proposed 2024 budget of 434.2 billion naira before the state house of assembly.
