The Oyo State government says it has recruited more than 1000 people into the civil service in the past four years.

Chairman, Oyo State Civil Service Commission, Alhaji Kamorudeen Aderibigbe made this known while featuring on Pensioners FM Current Affairs Programme, “The Searchlight.”

According to Alhaji Aderibigbe, the state government has also made more than 2000 conversions of staff.

He however said, the commission is faced with the challenge of a high rate of applicants who want government jobs, saying it is overwhelming, as the commission cannot accommodate all applicants.

Alhaji Aderibigbe also kicked against falsification of age and other information on credentials by job seekers, noting that penalty awaits anyone who does so.
