The Oyo State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Salihu Adelabu, Directors and other top government officials have showered encomiums on the retiring Director of Finance and Accounts, Mr. Olufisayo Akintunde, for his exceptional service and dedication to the Civil Service.
The retiree bowed out of the Oyo State Civil Service, on 2nd October, 2024 as the Director Finance and Account, Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology.
Speaking at the retirement and send-forth ceremony held at the Commissioner’s Car Park, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Agodi, Secretariat, Ibadan, the Commissioner acknowledged the resourcefulness of Mr. Akintunde and his numerous contributions to success of the education ministry while in service.
Prof. Adelabu, who spoke through the Coordinating Director, Mrs Christiana Bolaji described him as “a consummate professional, whose expertise and guidance have been invaluable to the ministry.”
He maintained that his working relationship with Mr. Akintunde was hinged on his humbleness, diligence and hard work.
He said that Mr.Akintunde has served with distinction, providing leadership and direction to the finance department.
In his response, Mr. Akintunde, expressed gratitude to Almighty God, the Commissioner, Directors, and colleagues for their support and cooperation throughout his career.
He encouraged all other civil servants to be passionate about their jobs.
