Makinde Inaugurates LG House, Training School

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has reaffirmed his commitment to continuously collaborate local government administrators in ensuring the delivery of dividends of democracy to the people.

Governor Makinde reaffirmed this while inaugurating newly constructed Local Government House and Training School at the Secretariat, Ibadan.

The Governor who described the edifice as beginning of renovations of structures within the state secretariat, noted that the building will provide a conducive environment for staff and enhance  productivity.

Earlier in his welcome address, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Mr. Ademola Ojo, charged local government staff to maintain the edifice.

In their various goodwill messages, Chairman of Local Government Chairmen in Oyo State, Honorable Sikiru Sannda, and Chairman Local Government Staff Pension Board, Honourable Ademola Ige, lauded Governor Makinde’s welfare policies that have improved the lives of workers and retirees.

The gigantic project which will end the 40 years of tenancy of Local Government Service Commission and Local Government Staff Pension Board at the Water Corporation Building, Secretariat, Ibadan, houses two storey office complex consisting of 27 rooms on each floor, two conference rooms and  300 capacity auditorium.
