Oyo State governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, has said that the upgrade of the abandoned 3,250 hectares Eruwa Farm Settlement to an Agribusiness Industrial Hub would put Ibarapaland on the global agricultural map and create job opportunities.
Governor Makinde stated this during the ground-breaking ceremony of the farm located in Eruwa
He expressed optimism that the new Agribusiness Hub would be a success like Fasola Agribusiness Hub, Oyo.
Governor Makinde further said his administration would also complete Ido-Eruwa Road within the next one year.
Speaking earlier, the Director-General of Oyo state Agribusiness Development Agency (OYSADA), Dr. Debo Akande, said that the Eruwa Agribusiness Hub would be a 40-million-dollar public-private investment.
Also speaking, Director-General, Nigeria, African Development Bank (AfDB), Dr. Abdul Kamara, assured that AfDB would give maximum support to speedy execution of the project.
