Governor Seyi Makinde, has reiterated Oyo State’s readiness to partner investors to drive the economic growth of the state.
Governor Makinde said this when some Chinese businessmen and investors paid him a visit at the Governor’s office, Secretariat, Ibadan.
The Governor, who said that the state is endowed in resources and landmass, admitted that the foreign investors were right in choosing Oyo state.
Earlier, Consul-General of Nigeria in China, Ambassador Gbadebo Afolabi, who led the delegation to the governor, said the group has expressed readiness to invest in the infrastructural development of the state.
Also speaking, Executive Secretary-General, Working Committee for Overseas Cooperation of China Association of small and medium enterprises, Mr. He Lixiong, said the visit was to seek a working corporation with the state government.
The group was later led by the Chief of Staff to the governor, Honourable Segun Ogunwuyi, on a tour of Ibadan Circular Road Project.
