Oyo Govt. to Regulate Gaming Activities

The Oyo state Governor, Seyi Makinde, has vowed to regulate gaming activities in the state.

Governor Makinde made the vow at the 5th Annual Stakeholders’ Interactive Forum tagged “Tax and Task, Building a Sustainable Gaming Environment” organized by the Oyo State Gaming and Lottery Board, held in Ibadan.

Governor represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Olanike Adeyemo said the state has greatly enabled a thriving environment for gaming activities.

Governor Makinde added that despite an increase in the revenue generation through gaming, his administration would ensure the public is guided against the risk inherent in the practice.

Earlier, the Director General, Oyo State Gaming Board and Lottery Board, Mr Olajide Bọladuro, said his agency will continue to protect gaming integrity.
