A former Minister of Communication, Barrister Adebayo Shittu, has attributed one of the challenges in the country’s communication system to inadequate funding.
Barrister Shittu made this known while featuring on Pensioners’ FM Current Affairs Programme, “The Search Light”.
The former Communication Minister under the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari, also highlighted other challenges to include, cost and maintenance of hard /software’s, vandalism and epileptic power supply, saying these have affected the quality of service delivery.
Barrister Shittu, who noted that Nigeria has the cheapest communication service in the world, urged the government to fund the sector, stabilise electricity supply and provide adequate security against vandalism.
