The Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, has reiterated his commitment to ensure provision of sound education to children of police officers.
IGP Egbetokun stated this at the inauguration of the State’s Police Officer’s Wives Association, POWA Day- Care and kindergarten school in Ibadan.
Represented by the Oyo State Commissioner of Police, CP Adebola Hamzat, IGP Egbetokun said that education was the best legacy that can be given to a child.
IGP Egbetokun also described the inauguration of the POWA Day- care and Kindergarten School as laudable.

Chairperson, POWA, Dr Abidemi Hamzat, said the inspiration behind the establishment of the school was to give police children sound education.
Dr Hamzat also appreciated members of POWA and donors for their support in achieving the project.

Earlier, member representing Ibadan North West Constituency at Oyo State House of Assembly, who is also the Chairman House Committee on Security and Strategies, Honourable Dawood Olalere, reemphasised the need for the provision of adequate welfare for children of police officers.
