Oyo Seeks Collaboration with USA on Solid Minerals development

‎The United States of America has expressed readiness to unlock trading opportunities and increase investment opportunities with Oyo State

Deputy Political and Economic Chief at the American Consulate in Lagos State, Mr. Kenise Hill stated this during a courtesy visit on Governor Seyi Makinde, at the government secretariat, Ibadan.

‎ Mr. Hill who led US delegation noted that Oyo State is one of the states with various opportunities for America to explore its trade and investment opportunities, especially in solid minerals.

‎The Consulate noted that the trade investment opportunities would provide job opportunities and boost the economy of the state and Nigeria.

‎Responding, Governor Makinde, represented by the deputy governor, Barrister Bayo Lawal, urged the American government to tap into the state’s agricultural sector to help address Nigeria’s food insecurity.

‎Governor Makinde, assured the envoy of the state’s collaboration and maximum security of US businesses in the State.
