The Police Community Relations Committee, PCRC, Monatan Divisional Police Headquarters, Ibadan, today conferred an award of excellence on the Executive Secretary, Nigeria Union of Pensioners, Oyo state council, Comrade Olusegun Abatan.
Chairman, PCRC, Alhaji Lateef Makinde gave the award at the Investiture/Award and Decoration of Patrons.
Alhaji Makinde described Comrade Abatan as a man who has contributed meritoriously to the growth of PCRC, Monatan.
He urged other awardees to continue to ensure security of lives in their various communities.
On his part, Comrade Abatan appreciated the PCRC, Monatan for the honour and promised to do more for the growth of the community.
He called on people to complement the efforts of security agencies.
While congratulating other awardees, Comrade Abatan also advised the people to be security cautious during this festive period.
Dignitaries at the ceremony were Oyo NUP Trustee two, Comrade Joel Ayodabo, Chairman and Secretary, Retired Primary School Teachers of Oyo NUP, Comrade Dosu Akinpelu and Comrade Tunji Ogunwale, Monatan Divisional Police Officer, CSP Pius Osakwe.
