People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Chieftain in Oyo State, Comrade Wole Abisoye, has urged Federal Government to privatise the power sector to give room for competition and better service delivery.
Comrade Abisoye made the call while reacting to the consistent national grid collapse, hike in electricity tariffs and electricity meter models, on Pensioners FM Current Affairs Programme, “The Searchlight.”
According to Comrade Abisoye, government can also decentralize the sector and ensure each state of the federation has its own electricity grid for improved power generation.
He also suggested that government can look into and invest into various aspect of electricity generation such as solar and other renewable sources.
