Peaceful Streams Foundation Holds Get- Together for Senior Citizens

A Non-Governmental Organisation, The Peaceful Streams Foundation has held a get-together for Senior Citizens. 

The event was part of activities marking the second anniversary of the NGO. 

The founder of the foundation, Dr Tunde Ajobo, noted that the event was to appreciate God in the lives of older people. 

Dr Adeyemi, who is a retired medical Doctor, said that the essence of the foundation was to add value to the lives of older persons including children.

On his part, a member of Board of the foundation, Professor Temitope Alonge, called on Pensioners to always prioritise their health by going for regular check-ups, eat balanced diet and engage in exercise.

Professor Alonge who appealed to the Oyo State Government not to relent in its efforts in prioritising the welfare of senior citizens, commended Governor Seyi Makinde for his commitment to Pensioners welfare.

Earlier, the guest speaker, who is a dietician at the University College Hospital (UCH) Ibadan, Dr Tunde Ajobo, encouraged older people to always take warm water, and dress approriately during the cold weather.
