The General Manager of Pensioners FM, Ibadan, Dr. Babatunde Tiamiyu, has been honoured with the Indigenous Newscaster of the Year award at the 9th edition of the Pacesetters Entertainment and Recognition Awards, PERA.
The award ceremony held in Ibadan brought together professionals and distinguished personalities from various fields.
While receiving the award, Dr. Tiamiyu expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for what he described as divine crowning and elevation.
He also appreciated the organizers of the Awards for finding him worthy of such a reputable honour.
The Pensioners FM General Manager further acknowledged the support of the station’s Board of Directors and management, thanking them for providing a platform that has enabled him to showcase his God-given talents.
Dr. Tiamiyu did not hesitate to commend the collective efforts of the staff of Pensioners FM, noting that the award was a reflection of teamwork, dedication, and shared commitment to excellence among the workforce.
Those who accompanied him to the event included his wife, Head of English Unit of Pensioners FM, Mr. Eedris Abiola, as well as other members of staff of the station.
