Prioritise welfare of elderly ones- Omotoso Tells Nigerians

By Micheal Adeyemo

The Operations Manager of Adeyoola Memorial In-Home Adult Care Services, Mr. Kayode Omotoso, has called on Nigerians to prioritise the wellbeing of elderly citizens who, he noted, often suffer in silence after spending their active years in service to society.

Mr. Omotoso made the appeal during an interview with a Pensioners FM correspondent shortly after featuring on the station’s Yoruba stewardship programme, Abo Ree.

Mr. Omotoso emphasised that many elderly people in Nigeria are abandoned and neglected, leading to emotional distress and deteriorating health.

He warned that this neglect contributes to premature deaths among the aged population, pointing to loneliness, inadequate support systems, and emotional isolation as critical issues.

Mr. Omotoso also noted that Adeyoola Memorial In-Home Adult Care Services provides professionally trained caregivers who deliver quality care either at the clients’ homes or at the company’s facilities located at Oke Bola and Iyana Church areas in Ibadan.
