The Prolific Club has emerged winner of the inter-house sports competition of Halvid British School, Ologuneru, Ibadan.
Prolific Club won the competition tagged Jersey Frenzy Day with 40 points, to defeat Magnificent Club, which came second with 20 points.
While announcing the results, Chairman on the occasion, who is also the General Manager of Pensioners FM, Ibadan, Dr Babatunde Tiamiyu lauded the spirit of sportsmanship of the participants.
Speaking on this year’s theme “Give Your Child A Smile with Jersey” Dr Tiamiyu called on Oyo State government and other stakeholders to invest more in sports promotion.
On his part, the Umpire and former General Manager, Oyo State Sports Council, Mr Gboyega Makinde encouraged the students to engage in sporting activities for their wellbeing.
The Proprietress of Halvid British School, Ologuneru Ibadan, Miss Victoria Oke enjoined parents to help their children develop interest in sports.
Miss Oke commended the students and the teachers for their commitments to the success of the inter-house sports.
