The Oyo State Director, Public Complaint Commission, Mr Bayo Ojediran, says the commission is handicapped financially in carrying out its mandates.
Mr Ojediran, made this known while featuring on Pensioners’ FM programme, “The Searchlight.”
Mr Ojediran, said the Public Complaint Commission which is a global institution and saddled with the responsibility to protect the rights and privileges of the common Nigerians, is faced with funding challenges.
He said the commission will need funding for investigations, mobility and training of staff.
Speaking further, the director called on all common Nigerians with cases of abuse of office, Nonpayment of gratuities and pension, gender base violence and child abuse to visit the commission for justice without a fee.
According to Mr Ojediran, the commission under the supervision of the National Assembly is located across all states in the country, with the Headquarters at Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
