The Association of Retired Army, Navy Air force Officers, RANAO, Oyo State Chapter, has held its annual New Year party.
The event which took place in Ibadan had a large turnout of members.
In his address, Chairman of RANAO, Colonel Michael Ajayi, Rtd, noted that the event was organized to appreciate God for sparing the lives of members of the association and to give account of the achievement of last year which include more members and contruction of a restaurants.
Colonel Ajayi who lauded members for their support, also sought for continuous support.
Colonel Ajayi also used the opportunity to call on the Oyo state Government to intensify efforts in protecting lives and property in the state.
In his remark, the special guest of honour, General Officer Commanding 2 Division, Odogbo Barrack, Major General Bamidele Alabi, represented by Chief of staff, 2 Division Nigeria Army, Brigadier General Beyidi Martins, lauded the association for its progress so far.
Major General Alabi, who lauded the association for prioritizing the welfare of its members, promised to continue to support the association.
Highlights of the event include, award presentation, cutting of cake and music.
