Supreme Court Verdict: Analysts Sue for Peace among Parties

Two Public Affairs Analysts, Barrister Folusho Olapo and Mr John Njoku say the Supreme Court’s verdict yesterday, on last March governorship election in some states has given renewed hope about the country’s judiciary.

Barrister Olapo and Mr Njoku made this known while featuring on Pensioners FM Current Affairs Programme, Voice of Liberation.

According to Barrister Olapo and Mr Njoku, the Supreme Court’s verdict showed that the electorate’s votes counted.

They urged opposition parties to rather fight a cause that develops the growth of the country and the people’s interest.

On whether the Supreme Court’s verdict was to avert chaos in the states, Barrister Olapo and Mr Njoku faulted such opinions, saying the law does not respect anyone.

Barrister Olapo and Mr Njoku while congratulating the Governors, advised them and the opposition parties to come together to build a progressive nation.

The Supreme Court had yesterday upheld the election of Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, Lagos state Governor, Babajide Sanwo-olu, Akwa Ibom Governor, Umo Eno and Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf
