Reactions Trail Death of Former IICC Player

Reactions have continued to trail the death of former member of Industrial Investment and Credit Corporation IICC Shooting stars’ Sports Club of Ibadan, Phillip Boamah

Boamah, who was part of the 1976 African club winners’ cup conquering team,  passed on at the University College Hospital (UCH) Ibadan at the age of 74 years.

His former colleague at the national team, Idowu Otubusen, expressed shock over the news of Boamah’s death.

Otubusen described him as a loyal and dedicated player who spent most of his career as a player and a coach serving the Oluyole soccer and warlords.

Also speaking,  Executive chairman of shooting stars sports club of Ibadan, Honourable Babatunde Olaniyan said the football family has suffered a monumental loss.

Besides his exploits for 3SC, as both player and coach, the late Phillip Boamah, also had coaching stints with Leventis United of Ibadan, Dolphins FC of Portharcourt, Julius Berger FC of Lagos, Ranchers Bees of Kaduna, Gateway United FC of Abeokuta and Kwara Untied FC of Ilorin.
