A legal practitioner, Barrister Kunle Abimbola and a public affairs analyst, Mr Adesumbo Badejoko have said that the Supreme Court’s verdict upholding the victory of President Bola Tinubu did not come as a surprise.
They said this in an interview with Pensioners’ FM Correspondent.
Barrister Abimbola said the petitioners, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of PDP and his Labour Party counterpart, Mr Peter Obi failed to tender enough evidence.
Barrister Abimbola, however, called for the evaluation of Nigeria’s electoral legal system.
On his part, Mr Badejoko said it was impossible for the Supreme Court not to affirm Tinubu as the president, as no sitting president in the history of Nigeria has been removed by a court.
Mr Badejoko advised politicians not to always see election as a do or die affair, calling on other opponents to join hands with President Tinubu in developing the nation.
